Environmental monitoring & air quality

Smart air-quality monitoring stations for municipalities - particulate matter, gases, noise and microclimate - with a Sensirion sensor, solar power and our own platform: real-time map, alerts and API.

Networks of smart air-quality monitoring stations for cities, communities and industrial areas - designed, built and installed by Claritech. We measure particulate matter, gases, noise and microclimate and show the readings in real time, on a map.

Pole-mounted Claritech air-quality monitoring station with solar panel and weatherproof enclosure

Claritech PM4 is our smart urban-environment monitoring station, designed for Smart City projects. We deliver communications infrastructure and monitoring systems, including for public authorities - networks of measurement stations for environmental parameters. The stations designed and manufactured by Claritech are installed and integrated into municipal networks and platforms.

Why Claritech

Our own station, Claritech-branded

We design and manufacture the measurement stations. That way we control the quality, the integration and the long-term support, from the choice of sensors to the platform.

Sensirion SEN55 sensor

At the core we use the Sensirion SEN55 measurement module, factory-calibrated, with automatic fault detection and a typical service life of over 10 years.

Autonomous power

Solar-panel power, with a backup battery to keep running without mains supply. It mounts on a pole or facade in minutes.

Flexible communication

LoRa, Wi-Fi or LTE. We build either dense LoRa networks with a central station, or independent stations connected directly over LTE.

Software platform included

Real-time map, graphs, statistics, exportable reports and threshold alerts - plus an API for integrating the data with other applications.

Public-sector references

Environmental monitoring systems delivered for public authorities and community projects, with data collected continuously and available in real time.

What the station measures

A single station covers every parameter relevant to air quality and urban comfort - and reports its own operating status in parallel.

Particulate matter

PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10 - the reference indicators for urban pollution.

Gases and organic compounds

VOC Index (volatile organic compounds) and NOx Index (nitrogen oxides) - for traffic, combustion and industrial sources.

Ambient noise

Ambient noise level, A-weighted - to correlate noise pollution with traffic and activity in the area.

Microclimate

Temperature and relative humidity - the context the pollution readings depend on.

Self-diagnostics

Battery voltage, solar-panel energy production and internal conditions - the health of every station, in the same interface.

Continuous reporting

Measurements transmitted automatically and continuously, at regular intervals - real-time data.

Weatherproof construction, solar power and pole or wall mounting, CE, REACH and RoHS compliant.

How the network works

A Claritech network scales from a single station to dozens of measurement points. Stations can be mounted fixed, on a pole or facade, or supplied in a mobile, relocatable form for temporary measurement campaigns. We choose the topology that fits the site:

LoRa network with a central station

The measurement stations communicate over LoRa with a central station, which collects the data locally and forwards it automatically, over LTE, to the platform. Suited to dense networks over compact areas.

Independent stations with an LTE modem

Each station has its own LTE modem, with a SIM supplied by us or by the client, and transmits directly to the server over a secure VPN connection. Suited to geographically dispersed measurement points.

The data lands in a platform installed locally or in the cloud. Every station has a backup battery, so a power cut doesn’t mean lost measurements. Software updates are delivered remotely (OTA).

What you see in the platform

The platform runs in any browser, on desktop, tablet or phone, with no app to install.

Real-time map

Every station, placed on a map, with its measured value and a color code by concentration level.

Trend graphs

The evolution of each parameter over time, for each station - so you see trends, not just instantaneous values.

History and statistics

Measurements are retained for at least one year. Minimum, maximum and average values, in tabular form, for any selected time interval.

Reports and export

Saveable, reusable reports, with CSV/Excel export, from one or more monitoring stations.

Threshold alerts

Configurable thresholds that trigger notifications when limits are exceeded, over the time intervals you choose.

Secure access and API

Username-and-password authentication, plus an API for integrating the measurements into other applications.

Where it’s used

Cities and local authorities

Accurate data for public decisions and for assessing the impact of measures, policies and projects.

Communities and education

A tool for information and awareness that engages residents with the air quality in their own neighborhood - including public displays in schools.

Construction sites and industry

Monitoring point sources of pollution, where the fixed national network doesn’t reach.

Traffic and busy arteries

Correlating particulate matter and noise with traffic intensity, at the city’s critical points.

Residential areas, schools, hospitals

Air quality in the areas with direct impact on health and comfort.

Indoor and technical spaces

For indoor environments we also integrate Aranet sensors (CO₂, temperature, humidity), connected to the Claritech FOCUS platform.
