Cluj Arena - multiband coverage

23 multiband stadium antennas cover the stands of Cluj Arena across four frequency bands (1800/2100/2600/3500 MHz), with 92 radiating systems and handoff zones validated by simulation before installation.

In brief

The open-air stands covered with 23 multiband stadium antennas: at Cluj Arena, for one of the leading mobile network operators, Claritech installed 10-port CommScope RVVSS-50M-F antennas, mounted on the curved steel of the roof, above the stands. Each position radiates four frequency bands - 1800, 2100 and 2600 MHz plus 3500 MHz (5G) - 92 radiating systems in total, with sharp-cutoff rectangular patterns, each illuminating one sector of the stands. Distribution runs over 7/8” HELIAX AVA5RK-50FX feeders and 1/2” LDF4RK-50A jumpers, from equipment zones distributed around the circulation ring. The handoff zones between sectors were designed and validated by simulation before installation: a margin of over 20 dB across 40.3% of the stand area at 1800 MHz, and 100% of the area above 0 dB.
