“Driven by efficiency” - it sums up our direction: implementing new technology for sustainable, efficient systems, so that we can contribute as much as possible to building a society based on technological progress.
In recent years, the way civil society and citizens interact with the state has been changing more and more. Unlike in the past, pressure is mounting for the rapid resolution of the problems affecting the environment and sustainable development in general, and local communities in particular. The business community, citizens and non-profit organizations can act in concert, by taking part in groups that can shape public policies and propose viable solutions. It is important to participate, to get involved and to change the current state of affairs. We believe that a structured and systematic approach is needed to the problems Romanian society faces with regard to sustainable development. The areas of action need to be correlated, and all interested parties need to collaborate within a common framework. Consequently, we believe that initiatives such as the Sustainable Romania Coalition deserve support - initiatives that can aggregate forces aiming for lasting changes in legislation, in directions of action and in mentalities.
Claritech has joined the Sustainable Romania Coalition to contribute, together with the other members, to Romania’s sustainable development objectives. We aim to contribute to modernizing the way local authorities measure and assess the energy efficiency of infrastructure, air pollution and operating costs. We encourage other companies and organizations to get involved and offer their support, know-how and energy, so that together we increase our chances of success.
About the Sustainability Embassy in Romania
The Sustainability Embassy in Romania is a non-profit organization that promotes sustainability in business, using an economic model in which companies can solve social and environmental problems without sacrificing their economic efficiency and profit. Through its projects and partnerships, the Sustainability Embassy aims to invite the business community, civil society, opinion leaders and public authorities to dialogue and collaboration. Its main objective is to develop integrated projects that will contribute to Romania’s sustainable development. Its most important project is the Sustainable Romania Coalition, the first collaborative platform for the sustainable development of Romania, in line with the national strategy and the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. Through its existing and emerging working groups, and together with the members of the Coalition, the Sustainability Embassy also initiates actions and proposes solutions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
One of these working groups is the Air Quality group, currently focused on outdoor air monitoring, and Claritech is one of its members. The group’s goal is to build a strategy that pursues measures to reduce air pollution to within the maximum limits allowed by law, and at the same time to prevent further exceedances of critical air quality thresholds.
