Navigation lock - all 4 mobile networks + VHF radio

A neutral-host DAS in a navigation lock - all 4 GSM 900 mobile networks plus the lock's own VHF radio, on 57 service antennas, through the underground concrete galleries and on both banks, upstream and downstream.

GSM and VHF antennas installed above hydraulic pipes, in an underground concrete gallery

In brief

A navigation lock in operation: reinforced concrete and underground galleries where the outdoor signal does not penetrate. Claritech designed and installed a neutral-host DAS that brings all 4 mobile networks (GSM 900, one off-air donor sector for each) and the lock’s own professional VHF radio onto the same passive infrastructure, combined through a diplexer. The network feeds 57 service antennas across four zones - upstream and downstream, on both banks - including through the lock’s underground galleries, on 7/8” HELIAX trunks with runs of up to 100 m. The donor antennas are mounted on ballasted supports, with no roof penetration, sized for winds of 120-150 km/h. At the acceptance of the works, test phones measured levels of -65…-70 dBm GSM 900 inside the galleries.
