In brief

At a first-league stadium in Bucharest, Claritech extended the existing radio system of one of the leading mobile network operators with 5G, without touching the RF installation in service. The existing coverage is provided by 2 multibeam antennas with 12 ports each in the 1695-2690 MHz band, one at each end stand, each fed through 12 feeders of 7/8”. The extension added one AAU5614 5G active antenna 300 mm from each existing antenna, on 24.32 kg galvanized brackets designed in-house and verified for wind, snow and seismic loads. For each active antenna, 2 optical fibers and a DC power cable were pulled over 80 m of existing routes, and two 12U racks with -48 VDC power were added in the technical rooms. The extension was executed on the live system, with no changes to the existing RF installation and no new feeders.
