Given the context of climate change and the development of pollution-generating activities in recent years, there is a need to quickly identify and monitor sources of air pollution, especially those in congested urban areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Currently, in Romania, air quality is monitored daily through the national network of 148 stationary equipment, measuring the concentrations of major air pollutants, with 41 local centers. Although they are joined by independent networks for measuring the level of air pollution, the total number of sensors in Romania does not sufficiently cover all relevant areas.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

According to World Health Organization statistics, air pollution significantly affects human health in the European Union, causing more than 450,000 premature deaths each year. The urban population is exposed to this risk due to exceeded concentrations of air pollutant emissions (particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide and ground-level ozone). Additionally, factors such as vibration and noise pollution are causes for a poor quality of life in crowded cities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Why the traditional air quality monitoring stations are not enough?<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

How mobile stations are different from other air quality monitoring solutions?<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Fixed air quality monitoring stations consist of automatic equipment located in major cities, at key points in urban infrastructure, such as central markets, crowded boulevards, entrances or exits from cities, in order to monitor the concentration for the main types of pollutants.<\/p>\n

Although they provide highly accurate data, they are important investments for authorities and require relatively high operating and maintenance costs, thus limiting their density for a given area. Another disadvantage would be that these stations do not provide accurate information on pollution produced on construction sites or in the vicinity of modernized industrial places. The data are generally presented online, but do not provide a valid overview of air quality precisely because of the small number of monitoring points.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Urban areas are most exposed to high levels of air pollutants, due both to the higher population density of cities (which influence the intensity of traffic by road transport) and due to the faster pace of development of different industries, all potential sources of pollutant emissions. It is this dynamic of the urban environment that leads us to the need for flexibility, to the decision to invest in a solution that can prove its effectiveness in multiple regions.<\/p>\n

The answer can come from our complete solution that integrates other additional benefits, such as: mobility, metrological calibration of components and extended measurements, but also the possibility for remote monitoring, in real time.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

In addition to monitoring the level of particulate matter PM10, the system includes a high-performance weather station (which measures temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and humidity), a GPS location module, a module for measuring vibrations, and an integrated equipment for measuring noise pollution.<\/div>

Remote monitoring<\/h2><\/div>

There is the possibility of remote management and control of the stations, data collection and online viewing in real time, in the form of graphs, tables and status indicators in a dashboard application. Alert thresholds or predefined target values can be tracked. Depending on the thresholds chosen, alerts and notifications are generated and measurement data is automatically saved for reporting purposes.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Constan\u021ba County Council consolidates its system for environmental monitoring in Black Sea Basin<\/a>, by creating an efficient infrastructure implementing Claritech solution. Everything with optimal operating and maintenance costs, with equipment that is easy to transport and put into operation.<\/p>\n

The mobile air quality monitoring system is a useful control tool for authorities and contributes to prompt reactions. Thus, immediate measures can be taken using tests and assessment of environmental conditions in multiple places
\nReporting the correct data it can raise awareness of the population on the real level of air quality.<\/p>\n
